DMG-PEG-OH is a bifunctional PEG reagent.
Applications:
Liposome and nanoparticle formulation: Improves stability, circulation time, and prevents protein adsorption；
Surface modification: Acts as a spacer or hydrophilic coating material；
Precursor for functional PEG–lipid synthesis: The hydroxyl end can be further derivatized to introduce targeting ligands, drugs, or reactive groups (e.g., NHS, maleimide, azide).
Drug delivery systems: Enhances biocompatibility and reduces immune clearance.
